BASE Cargo Cover modification to Technology model size?
Has anyone modified a 2014 RDX Base model Cargo Cover to fit the Technology Package model? If seems as if the stick (which comes with Base model cargo cover) and holds the cover open is approx 4 inches too long to fit the Tech Package model.

It is my understanding there are two different Cargo Covers for the 2014 RDX. The one for the base model is part number 08Z07-TX4-210 whereas the part for the Tech Model is part number 08Z07-TX4-210A. The letter A on the end of the part number is the distinction in these two parts.
It seemed to me that the fit problem was not just related to the retaining pole but rather the entire cover needed some "adjustment". In any case, I purchased the part # with the A on the end and hopefully this will fit properly. BTW, I put the Base Model cover for sale on Ebay Item ID: 143339684164 with half the proceeds going to charity and free shipping if anyone might be interested?
As i now own both the 08Z07-TX4-210 RDX Cargo Cover Base model and 08Z07_TX4-210A Cargo Cover Tech Package model and note the measured difference in the length of the retaining stick is 1.5 inches, would you care to advise how you shaved it down? The 210A part stick measures 44.25 inches The 210 part stick measures 45.875 inches.

Further to your incorrect response the pole cannot be pushed inward to make it fit unless you are talking about bending a solid piece of plastic and hoping it does not break? Please see my posted images of the two cargo covers below in which i have noted the measured lengths as 44.25 inch Tech package versus the 44.875 inch Base Model.
Anybody have any suggestions as to how i might go about finding a home for the above mentioned RDX Base Model Cargo cover? If somebody needs it, please tell me why and for the cost of shipping, (approx. $35 in USA) it is yours which is better than it going into the landfill. I tried to post it for sale on this website but sadly did not have enough postings.
