I've owned about 15 cars since the early 80's. My TL (04) was the one and only car I never had a single problem with. Tight as a drum. Owned: Nissan, Ford, Cadillac, Mercedes, Jeep, Chevy, Dodge. Problems with every car except the TL. I came back because the RDX is the perfect blend of size/tech/styling/ride quality/engine power/reputation for me. I cannot wait for delivery. White Diamond AWD Advance with Parchment Interior.
This time around I test drove Lincoln MKC, Grand Cherokee, Ford Edge (heard it was quiet and it was indeed the quietest of all), and the RDX. Easiest decision ever to go with the RDX.

Welcome!
We, too, looked at the Edge. Not a bad vehicle, just not as nice of a total package for us, when it came down to the final decision.
Looking forward to your input as you take delivery and drive it.

So the Lincoln MKC is not as quiet as the Ford Edge? Interesting. I thought Lincolns are the epitome of quietness and luxury in the Ford world.

Last weeks Motorweek show had a midsize SUV comparison. No luxury brands, but they gave the Murano top spot then the Ford Edge. The Jeep GC was last with the Santa Fe Sport and Sorento in the middle.
It would be interesting to see the same comparison with small luxury SUV's.

I actually would have probably bought one of the new Edges had it not been for the terrible drivers seat which seemed to be designed for people with a tiny butt. I considered the MKC but don't like the garish front end styling.

And the Murano I believe has CVT. That is a definite fail in my opinion.
