I know its not as good as the SH-AWD. My sister has a 2012 RDX and the AWD system on that is quite good

I would be getting rid of a Tacoma double cab with very good 4WD in snow. I live in MI, am I going to be very disappointed on the AWD system on a 17/18 RDX for winter driving? I dont want to bother with changing into snow tires. I exclusively buy Michelin all season tires

Thoughts?

 

Not as good as sh-awd but it will still be perfectly fine in the snow, provided tires are decent.

 

I have a 14 RDX and had a 17 RDX and the AWD system is very good, especially if you have snow tires, but not as good as the 19 MDX I have.

 

I also live in Michigan. I use snow tires in the winter. I think the AWD system is very adequate.

 

It's very good. The AWD on my RDX 2013 is better than the RX350 2008 I owned. Still, it doesn't replace (good) winter tires
