What do you all pay, per hour, for your Acura service? We have CPO 2018 RDX and it needed to have a transmission pressure switch replaced at 72k. I took it to the dealer from where we bought it and wouldn't you know it, that part went out of warranty three weeks prior. According to Acura the warranty was 5 years from date of original purchase...not my purchase. Anyway, the dealer charged me $167/hr. Got charged for 4 hours. Total bill? Just under $1000.00.Jeezlouise.
We live in the Atlanta area. what do you pay per hour for work on your Acura? not necessarily at a dealer. I'm trying to weigh whether it is worth it to have the dealer do my future work but realizing I can get a loaner car out of them.

Just curious, what is the exact descriptive name & part number listed for said transmission pressure switch in question, it should be itemized on the dealer invoice you received?

hm..I thought we were paying extra for CPO because it extends the warranty? I have a similar situation with the dealer even though I already know which part is faulty (code reading is free in most of the auto parts stores), they need to first "inspect" to confirm and honor my CPO warranty, there goes 2 bills
I don't let dealers work on any repair if it's not under warranty
Mine is CPO as well. Just FYI, your CPO card will list expiration dates and expiration mileage on the warranty extensions. I carry the card around in the car, just in case I need to show it to a dealer (which I had to do once when I disputed a charge covered under the CPO terms).
Jesus Christ, I bought 3 transmission pressure switches for like $150 and changed them myself in an hour. And you wonder why people inherently distrust dealerships.
Dealer will charge for diagnosis during CPO (or regular warranty) and if found to be caused by a covered part then your diagnosis will be refunded.
Cpo is usually 7ys/100k, dealer may not have known you had cpo as it seems like a 5yr original warranty expiration. Check your cpo document or call Acura customer care and they can double check expiration for you.
My dealer in Boston is around $200/hour, so the original Atlanta quote seems typical. Generally Honda dealers are 25%-50% cheaper, and independent mechanics are 25-75% cheaper.

I don't because you can do one of two things; pays your bucks or learn to fix things yourself. On another forum, some owners are paying $600+ to have 6 spark plugs replaced. $600, are you well? A 90 minute job and $36 in spark plugs.

They replaced part # 28600R94004 SW, AT OIL PRESSURE. They referred to this as the third switch transmission.

Thanks for the reply.
The parts diagram below is for the 2018 Acura RDX 5 Door BASE (2WD) KA 6AT picked randomly since you don't specify your exact model.
With that said, #5 on the parts diagram represents the online price of $69.11 each for 28600-R94-004 & appears the #2 secondary valve body assembly has space for three of those sensors.
Retail for that 28600-R94-004 sensor, on the same website above, is $98.70 X 3 sensors = $296.10 + $697.48 nets to $993.58 before taxes & shop supplies; therefore, if they replaced all three sensors the math is very close.
If they only replaced one sensor you may have been 'hosed'?
Quantity of sensors replaced should be listed on the repair invoice?
