Acura CDX revealed.

would have, could have, should have
it's too late if they dont have it in the next year.
for example; the RLX. it was just too late to enter the market.
the NSX has been pushed back several years! its competitors are already working on new super cars.
do you see a pattern?

Judging by these HR-V March numbers,a CDX would sell.
I would think much better than the ILX.

i understand that you are arguing/debating the future aspect of it.
but, TODAY, the CDX hasnt come to the United States and wont likely to do so.
so, we can play...what if's all day long...
What if, Acura sold the CDX?
then I would agree with you.
the CDX would outsell the ILX.
however...that is simply not the case

I think it would sell pretty well.

I think Acura will need an entry level crossover for the younger types and dual incomes no kids (DINKs) also. I've been looking at the +16 RDX, Q3, and CX-5 as the miles pile up on my 08 RDX (and still driving a rental waiting for my RDX airbag repair). I've been even looking at the TLX; but, I prefer the flexibility of a crossover to support my lifestyle. I won't make a final decision until 2017 or even 2018. If I can handle my 11 MDX with the huge shield grill, the precision concept "warp speed" grill will be a piece of cake.

You guys are overreacting.
I never said, they will bring it tomorrow. But we will know by end of this year...Acura is making some major changes. Now they understood that the market is very competitive and they need to be active and response quick.

I hope we can get a bigger turbo engine and 8 speed transmission in future rdx. Most compact suv are about 15' long , 5.5' tall, and 6' wide. It's a good size for vehicle. The subcompact ones are about 8 inches shorter.

but history repeats itself!
just look at the NSX delays. also, look at how poorly acura marketed (or didnt) the RLX.
hey, I have an Acura and I'm pulling for them. But what I have seen over the past 10 years, isnt compelling.
it will take time for them to dig themselves out of the grave. it wont happen overnight.
this is a start by releasing the CDX to China.
but it dont mean shit if we cant buy that car here in the United states!
#52
Major changes in the wrong direction.
#53
I really don't think Acura would keep the CDX a big secret if they intended to launch it here eventually. Acura is the company that likes to announce, 3 weeks before it happens, that it will sneeze. Why they would stay hush-hush about the CDX coming here is beyond me.
#54
yes, they need to.

Acura was making wrong decisions since 2008. But with the new Hybrid MDX and NSX, I think they will make more and more good decisions to bounce back. I am sure they will do something with TLX as well...like Turbo, type S or more HP...
Let's stay positive and see.

Lmao I think people have been staying positive for over a decade with acura.....doesn't seem to be working. But in all seriousness, I agree, Acura is totally starting to make a turn around with the brand...the next 3 years will be pivotal for the brand.
#56
Their problems started back in 2009 and I hope that they will finally turn the brand around. Jon Ikeda gets it, so if the senior management would give him the support and the ability to push the brand in the right direction, it would succeed.
I am willing to wait a little since I am in my Lexus for another 2 years but they better get their act together or I am done. You can only put with mistakes for so long then you lose hope that they have any clue what they are doing

Totally forgot about the future north american bound CDX. Not sure if this the production or concept version. Might be a hint of direction Acura is heading with 3rd Gen RDX. You would think a strictly oversea vehicle for only the Chinese market Acura would have all the knob labels in in another language instead of English? I image more folks speak English in china than in North America anyways. Found some update pics:

In Europe, I can configure even the smallest VW with all the options, LED's, HUD, Dynamic Cruise, Lane keeping, pedestrian detection, parking assistance etc.
The larger, more expensive cars may have many of those features standard, but the little cars have all the toys available. By the time you're done it'll be expensive but at least you CAN get a small car with all the features. I just configured the base Polo in Germany (base price 12k Euros) with all the safety stuff and luxury items you'd want for 22k Euros

HOLY CRAP!!!
That interior is amazing! Where the hell were these designers when the current and last gen acura's came out? This thing absolutely shits on everything currently in Acura dealerships including the rlx. All that stitching looks amazing. Also loving the final availability of a damn pano roof. 12 years late, but better than never!

even if they do make an HR-V equivalent, it'll most likely have a copy of that interior and not this one!
Because this CDX is made in CHINA! and their factory tooling has been set up for this!
Here in America, at best we'll get a HR-V clone.....

BUTT it is NEVER, because we wont see this.

Wow. I'm amazed as well. Looks sharp as hell and nicely executed. Wish the current ones in US were like this. This vehicle can't come to US soon enough. Somebody needs to press a button. Hellllllooooooo. .
#72
it looks like it will flip forward. The shape between the seat seems perfectly aligned for that.

You don't need to sit in any of them. Just look at the pictures online! The interiors are almost cold.
