a neighbor has a 2015 RDX AWD with front black brake calipers that say ACURA. ive noticed the 2016s do not have these calipers.
does anyone know why ?

No idea, but it's just a cheesy plastic cover or insert so the brakes look like Porsche/MB monoblock calipers. It's no great loss.

are you sure ? i thought it meant they were dual piston or higher end. i know the tl type s have brembo calipers and pads and they are the black style.

Nope. Single piston. Just a fancy piece of plastic.

Well as cheesy as it is, I like it on my 14. Typical of manufacturers, they decontent the small things to save money. It's likely because they add things to the 16 and don't up the price much so there has to be a cost savings somewhere and I am sure there are others we don't notice.

I like the look even if it's just a plastic cover. Wish they had it on the rear wheels too. Saw a thread where someone added this to the back wheels.
