Accident

Wife pulled out in front of someone, was screened by the car in the near lane turning in to where she was pulling out. Anyway, did a number on the rear wheel. It's now maybe 10 degrees off straight up and down. Anyone had this happen? What is likely impact on rear axle, etc. The side airbag did go off but no one hurt.

Hope your wife is ok? Do you have full coverage because when the airbags go off the insurance company usually totals the car. You need to look underneath to see what is bent. Most likely a wheel, strut and upper and lower control arms. You will also need new side airbags and a new airbag module. I think you will also need a new seat because the side airbag is in the front seat.

Wife is fine. Shook up but barely a bruise. I've heard they total for front bags but for sides? Wheel looks toast. Upper and lower control arms on rear wheel? This is a 2016 AWD Advance. Full coverage. Thanks for your comments.
