2103 RDX AWD - Anyone Recognize this Attachment on Windshield

Purchased a used 2013 RDX and just seeing this on the windshield. It’s wired through the head liner of the car. It’s stuck on the windshield good. Dealer did not know or did they notice it. Thanks!

Remote Starter

The car does have a remote start. I am wondering if this is part of that.

Is the remote start factory installed? Does this have a serial number on it?

My 1st guess is it's an aftermarket remote starter. The 2nd guess is an antenna.

Can you detach it from the glass?

Yes, it is Driver 1 and has a serial #

The device can be detached from the glass

When my daughter bought her use car, it had a device on the driver side windshield. The sales person was able to look up the serial number and see that it was an aftermarket remote starter.
