2018 Acura RDX
2018 Acura RDX
Anyone know when Acura will be revealing this? I suspect it will look even better than the 2018 TLX that was just revealed. The current grill seems to look best on the RDX out of all the Acura models and the pentagon grill will probably also look the best on the RDX. Here's hoping they keep a v6 engine (would be awesome if they upped it to 300 horsepower), have a hybrid powertrain option, heated steering wheel, pano sunroof, extra sound proofing, SHAWD, some extra soft touch material on the interior, and more modernized infotainment system. If they can do all this, the 2018 RDX would be the ultimate driving machine.

Yup. So, Acura enthusiasts, I guess we gotta wait about another year before some news starts popping up about an all new 2019 3rd Generation RDX. In the meantime, I’m still curious what to expect for the 2018 model. I’m sure there will be some minor refreshes like the grill, wheels, etc.
I'm hoping they shape it up a little better and that since the RDX will be designed with the grille in mind vs slapping it on (tlx/mdx) it might flow better. IMHO it isn't the worst grille in the world, but there is something just so wrong with it and I can't put my finger on it.
Still dating the same 9.5. Gonna take her to the theater to see a play at the Stratford Festival, managed to get great priced tickets front row. Next vehicle... I was going to buy another vehicle last year, but decided to hold off because many new models are coming out. I'm falling in love with the new Kia Stinger. Yes, it's a Kia. But the design and specs look so good that I may be willing to overlook that. If not, I might end up getting a Lexus or maybe an all electric vehicle. I like the Tesla model 3 but you have to wait a very long time to get one because they're backed up in orders. I might go for a 2016 used Lexus RX350. I've figured that a 2 year used vehicle at less than 50 or 40,000 km is the best bang for the buck. The Lexus RX350 grill is hideous tough. It's hard deciding on another car because the Acura RDX Elite gives you so many features for a very reasonable price. I looked at the 2017 Honda Accord... fully loaded it's almost $40,000. That's almost the same price as a fully loaded Acura RDX. See what I mean? It's hard to find another vehicle once you get an Acura...

BTW,a fully loaded top of the line Accord Touring list is $35.700 and discounted nicely..
A fully loaded Accord is $38,357.50 Canadian. Add to that freight and taxes and you're into the $40,000's. A few thousand more, and you can get an Acura RDX. If the fully loaded Accord were in the $30k or in the low $30's, that might be worth it. You can also buy a used 2016 Lexus ES350 sedan for mid to high $30's, or a used TLX. Conclusion: fully loaded Accord not worth.
That isn't an 18. It wouldn't have camo if it was far enough along to be released this year. 19 for sure and pre-production at that. It could look significantly different by its release. Nobody knows what the next gen looks like or what specs it will have. All speculation. If you need one within the next 6mths I would be looking at 17's as they will be priced well and be the same car as the 18.
This only makes sense. The only time an automaker accelerates a previous model run is when sales drop severely.
Man, I was hoping the new model would come out with the 2018. PLEASE ACURA keep a 6 cylinder engine, and maybe boost it up to 300 horsepower and add all options available on the MDX and TLX onto the RDX.
I am looking at buying a 2017 or possibly 2018 RDX, so I spoke with a dealer in Charleston, SC, last week and they basically said the same thing; expect no significant changes until 2019. Of course, they may have been playing that angle to get me more interested in buying something out of their current stock.

Perhaps even add some of the technology offered on the accord, civic and small crossovers.
Personally, I don't mind the wing. It will be interesting to see if they integrate the new grille on the '18, or wait until the re-design in '19. I imagine that they will incorporate it; however, you never know.....
