2017, 1350 miles....brakes squealing!
When I bought my TSX in 2009 the brakes squealed at 5,000 miles....now my new RDX has brake squeal at just under 1400 miles. It doesn't happen in the morning, it's after I drive to work, about 1/4 of the way home, I believe it's the front brakes....mostly the passenger side. I'm dropping it off tomorrow....I sure hope I don't get the "that's normal" or "it will eventually go away" speech. So....I guess the TSB from the 2016s can be carried over to 2017. It's fuggin annoying, and it only happens on light braking...which is all of the time!

My 2016 RDX did the same thing. I think this will continue each year until they make a significant "update" to the RDX - much like the rear shock clunk that continued for an entire generation of the RDX. They don't make changes to fix the problems - they just put out TSBs in the hope that they won't have to fix all of them, but only the ones of the people who complain.

Yes...if you do things a little dry....squealing and howling can happen..

Had the same issue in my 2017 RDX. Started around 1,000 miles. Brought to the dealer (bought it an hour and a half away but brought it to my local Acura dealer) and they resurfaced my rotors. Picked it up today and so far, so good. Hoping that worked.

It's a mile high and dry where I am (...well, until an afternoon thunderstorm, then it floods) Some amount of squeal has happened on all my cars. Every time...every time I've gotten it checked out, dirt. I learned to differentiate dirt squeal and rotor squeal. But that's my experience over time on different cars. I hope yours turns out to be nothing. It can be worrisome, though.

Same brake issue on 2016 RDX
I have the same issue on my 2016 RDX AWD tech. I took the car in a couple months back and they replaced the front brakes. Now about 1000 miles later, I'm hearing the noise again. I'm hearing it about 30 minutes after driving the vehicle. The tech said they need to replicate the noise in order to fix it and if they can't replicate it then there's nothing wrong...
Somehow I feel like that explanation is a load of bs...

^it's very likely that its just metal on metal contact and alll you need to do is lube where the metal slides.
its not a big deal. and one of the super easiest fixes to fix, even an average joe can lube sliding sliding bracket.
cars are machines with intricate moving parts.

It started doing it again the day after, so that definitely wasn't the issue. Haven't taken it back yet...

kept hearing it more often. The front rotors starting to show a dark heat ring. took the brakes apart, found the bottom caliper pin on each side is stuck. I lubed up the pins real good with urea grease. lubed up the 4 front pads with grey brake pad grease. scuffed up the rotors with sand paper. put it back together, doin great so far. So the bottom pin being stuck is causing the pad not to back off and creating heat ring on the rotor. I only have 3k on rdx, if youve been driving with the noise for a long while, u will prob need the rotors resurfaced.

I have 2016 AWD Advance. Brake squeal started yesterday; also hit 4K miles yesterday.
I'll take car to the dealer. Where can I find the specific TSB for this issue so that I can mention it to the service department?

For some reason, I cannot edit the post above to add the following:
I called the dealer (Pohanka in NOVA) and was told that the TSB calls for replacing the rotors and the pads if my car's VIN is covered by the TSB. Any way that I can learn if TSB applies to my VIN prior to taking car in?
BTW, they also said that the issue was related to certain manufacturing lots of pads and rotors and that by replacing these, the problem is fixed. (I didn't ask for how long it is "fixed".)

The way dealers handle things is not consistent. Ours made no squeal but occasionally would grind at low speeds. I complained and was told it is normal for the RDX(They even suggested it may be the ABS kicking in... sure thing...) Then I had to take it in for the creaking steering wheel and mentioned the brakes again. Suddenly it was done. No explanation as to why it wasn't done the first time as they never replicated the issue I told them about. I will say the car seems to smoothing out now. The issues have been pretty much solved for now.

I had two 2014 RDX's with the same warped rotors issue at 20K approximately. Each time the dealer refused to honor any warranty. One was a lease and I returned it without fixing it (it's their problem now ) and on the one I own, I replaced the piece of junk factory rotors with ELine drilled and slotted rotors ($198 on Ebay + $80 labor) end of problem. (See pics below)

Less than 1k on our 16/17 and the brakes now squeal and shutter.
Both x2 our friends 15/16 did the same.
The dealer in each case replaced the rotors and pads.
*our tach also doesn't work (only reads 1k) so we are gathering a list and will address with deaker soon.

I had mine replaced around 10k miles. I just noticed the NEW set started squealing under light braking. I guess they don't have a solution.... Maybe aftermarket parts are the key.

Did all of you got the break squealing repaired under warranty or did they charge you for the parts?

Oh man. Mine do squeal occasionally too while driving slowly. I just did my A1 service but failed to mention that. ..... Now I'm closer to 40k in miles. May be I should give them a call again.

Update on Mindy 2017: brought in for oil change and mentioned the nonstop brake squealing even after brake pad replacement at 1,000 miles. I also mentioned I thought there was a TSB for it. They replaced all pads and rotors and have been fine since (about 5 weeks and 1,000 miles ago).

They replaced all four not just the front two?

Burning Brakes
I had the same problem with my RDX and TSX. After months of complaining and the dealer "cleaning" and "replacing the pads", I changed them myself and had no trouble since.
