Does anyone have a picture of the 2016 RDX in Slate Silver? Preferably the advance model? I have seen the pic from the autoshow and online but am looking for a good picture so I can really see if it is a darker silver than the 2015.

Looks like acura is doing away with exhaust pipes on all of their models. Interesting.

 

I'm pleased with the 'no-tip' look of the '13(and the '16). These garish, soon-to-be ill-fitting puzzle pieces on so many vehicles make me sad.

 

I for one like the exhaust tips, that said, I never see the rear of my vehicle anyway.

 

Slate Silver Metallic (2016) looks very similar to Forged Silver Metallic (2015) ? Or 2016 is little darker ?
I liked Forged Silver Metallic, when I saw that in person.

 

Slate Silver and Forged Silver are very, very similar in reality. Same theme, however where the Forged definitely has a shade more light blue, the Slate Silver is a shade more silver instead.

Both have the silvery blue changing tint depending on the sunlight vs. shading, to the point of being confused by most not familiar with the colors.

 

I did notice the blue ting on the Forged Silver when I went to see it but was unable to see the Slate Silver....would you say that the Slate Silver is darker? Do you see less of the blue with it?

Krisbo26, did you got any quotation on it, when you visited showroom ? In previous posts, I read that AWD was selling as low as $35,700 with Tech package. But at that time, there was a $1000 rebate from manufacturer which was valid till 11th May. Is it gone now ?

 

I was quoted $46,590 for the Advance/Elite model.....that is Canadian

 

Wow. That is almost equal to Lexus RX350 :-)

 

^ Krisbo26 - I'm guessing that price quotation you received didn't include Freight & PDI ($1,995) and all the other additional fees. Acura dealers up here in Canadia tend to 'forget' mentioning the extra fees in their quotes. The true full selling price (before HST) for a '16 RDX Advance/Elite in Canada is $48,715.

 

Hi! Yes you are correct I wish I could find some good pictures of the RDX's with available accessories. I just read on a post that there is chrome under door accent piece but I can't seem to find that anywhere. Does anyone know? Also, if anyone has seen a 2016 graphite or slate silver with either sport rails and/or roof racks can you please post?

I have a 2016 in graphite with chrome door accent ( no roof rack) on order. Should be in this week. I can post a pic of it if you like.

Whoo hoo. Just found out I can get the white with ebony interior!!! I decided after seeing the slate silver it was too blue looking for me...graphite was a close second. Now...bring on the accessories!

I saw the slate silver last night and it looked awesome in the showroom but when I saw it outside it didn't look like the same colour at all!! It looked like a light blue....especially when they put it next to the new 2016 MDX in lunar silver....I'm so sad it didn't come in that colour! the slate is just too BLUE for me

 

I also don't care for the Slate Silver color - there's too much blue tint in that new silver. Depending on the lighting - which can include daytime ambient light - the Slate Silver can look like light blue.. and I'm not a big fan of blue. For me the best colors on the '16 RDX are White Platinum, Graphite Luster and Crystal Black (in that order of preference).

 

Indeed the Slate Silver , which was our initial color to go for, it is very bluish .
We are looking to a Graphite luster and we hope to conclude a deal during the week.

 

I agree, why is Acura so set on not offering real Silver anymore. They did it with the 4G TL and 5G now RDX. Silver is a top 3 color and if I wanted a blueish color I would buy a bluish color. You don;t see them messing with Silver on the Honda models. Just offer Moon Silver and if they want variants offer them, but stop screwing with Silver.

 

Slate, like Forged, looks different under varying lighting conditions. I liked Forged and was actually working the numbers on one when a cloud came by and made the car look drab and dreary. That's when I got the white.

 

I was being quoted $48k and a bit for the base model in Alberta. That inc GST, a $1000 remote start and all other fees associated. Am I missing something?

I have. This is the exact color combo that I have.

The Advance should come with 19" wheels and Acura needs to clean up its wheel designs (I simply removed the added grey spoke).
