2016 RDX Audio with Samsung S7
2016 RDX Audio with Samsung S7
2016 RDX Elite (Canada).
So I just switched from am iPhone 6 to Samsung S7. The iPod feature worked great with my iPhone where I was able to control my audio from the car's screen without ever having to touch my iPhone. After switching to the S7, I totally expected the iPod feature to not work as it is an Apple feature.
However, what I did not expect was the USB feature to not work. When I plug in my S7 to the USB connector, the car audio does not recognize it as a USB device. It does charge my phone though. So the only way I can play music from my S7 is via bluetooth (and aux). I have my music both in the phone's internal storage as well as on the SD card.
For all android users, and particularly S7 users: are you having the same problem? Does your car's audio recognize your android phone as a USB storage and play music off of it? IF so, what am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks. But I am not talking about bluetooth. Streaming audio to my car via bluetooth works fine. my question was around using my S7 as a usb media to play audio. When I connect my S7 to the car audio via a usb cable, it says "USB device not connected" or something like that. It doesn't recognize my phone as a usb device.
It works with my LG G3 - but - why not use BT and a separate charger to charge your phone? The USB ports will charge your phone slower than molasses in January and, if using screen or processor intensive tasks like mapping, will drain your battery. You'll want a 2.1A car charger at a minimum to charge modern phones and tablets.
I have the S7 Edge and everything works fine, pandora, bluetooth. Haven't used it by plugging into USB, but the music from my SD card does play in the car vai the phone. I plugged in my wireless charger so now when I put my phone down, it charges the phone without having to connect it to the USB/car charger.
