2016 RDX Advance - Looking for some info
Hi all,
Long story short, my mother has a 2007 MDX Sport/Tech she bought new that has 160+K on it now. She has decided to give it to my sister and get a new car.
She is interested in downsizing since we are all out of the house now and is interested in the new RDXs.
I had a couple questions regarding the RDXs with the Advanced package.
1. Is the CMBS/LKAS any good? My mother is definitely a distracted driver (is almost always on the phone for work) and that is certainly a selling point.
2. How is the real world fuel economy?
3. How are they in the snow with all season tires, we live in New England.
4. How is the reliability considering the car will see 20K+ a year
5. How well have they integrated the controls for the tech stuff? How intuitive is it?
6. How do they drive/ride? My mother doesn't really care, but I'm curious. I assume its still a FWD bias AWD system?
Pricing:
1. Can we get it below invoice? My dad bought an 05TL new and the 07 MDX was bought new from the same dealer, the MDX was bought the summer it launched and we paid below invoice on both, is that still a thing with Acuras? This is a high volume dealership as well.
2. What's the cheapest the extended warranties are going for? This will be a high mileage car. I know usually it is 50% what the dealer is asking, and we've been successful getting it at cost on the last 3 cars they have bought.
Thanks
Mike

For "research purposes" we paid 41,800 for a 2016 advance with all weather mats today. Dunno if people are doing much better or not, but that's how we did. From my research (IE Tru-Car) it seems low.
Does anyone have a good source for Honda extended warranties?

Add'l quote for 'research purposes'; RDX Advanced pkg $41,200 without any mats or other freebies
Gas mileage is okay for a SUV. Keep in mind, the gas tank is quite small for a typical SUV.
LKAS is awesome. If you are familiar with the RDM system in the ILX (shake/vibration feedback when the car goes off the lane), LKAS does not provide the vibration feedback. Only audio alert.
Goodluck
