2016 AWD RDX w/tech pkg interior lights not working?

We just bought a 2016 AWD RDX w/Tech Pkg and noticed the passengers in the back can't turn on the ceiling light? When the doors are all open and the car is not running the light isn't on even when toggling the switch. The same is true when the engine is running. Is something wrong here?

I don't think so. I have the advance package and I remember my dealer saying several customers think the cargo light does not work and that the switch has to be in the correct position or you would think that it is broke. Wish I could provide more info for you but I bet you are fine

I thought I had the same problem with mine. The master switch for all the interior lights is in the front overhead console on the right-hand side. Once you switch that on the other lights will work.

Yes, exactly. That's a concern many new RDX owners have. But there's nothing to worry. All is well. You just need to turn on the master switch. I haven't seen it in any other cars but I can see the utility esp when a toddler who doesn't want to listen fiddles with the light switches on the roof .

Thank you! Just bought a new 2016 RDX (2 weeks ago), interior lights would not work when I open the door front and/or rear doors, the fix was to turn on the master switch on the overhead console.

The master switch is another great luxury feature in the RDX. Not many cars have this convenient control feature.
