Is it true that my new 2015 RDX has a belt not a chain? I'm really surprised since I thought that Honda had gone to chains, like many other manufacturers a few years ago. It's an expensive long term maintenance item I thought I would be able to avoid.

Honda 2.4L 4cyl's have a timing chain, but the 3.5/3.7L v6's have a timing belt. Been true for many years.

Thanks. I thought that since my wife's '06 TSX has a chain, that all other newer engines would follow suit.
