Everything else is blamed on it... Several days below zero in Ohio... I opened the console today and the latch exploded. One tab broke off leaving the spring and rest of latch in my hand... Thankfully a $10 part, but how do I replace it?

Remove the two little rubber bumpers and there are two screws under them. This should separate the leather part from the plastic frame. There is nothing in the Acura factory service manual on the latch replacement. You just need to wing it.
