2014 RDX starts, dies, then won't start again until battery disconnected/reconnected

Yesterday, about one mile away from my driveway, I was shocked to find than my dash gauges had gone black.

I killed the ignition when I got home and pushed the start button to re start it.

It started strong then cut off about 1-2 seconds later.

The dash remained in accessory mode.

I tried to start it again and it just cranked and cranked but didn't start

I then disconnected the battery, immediately reconnected it, and went through the same ordeal again.

The battery is in perfect condition.

Any ideas?

Dirty MAF sensor?
Failed O2 sensor?
Dirty ERG valve?
...

I know that you said your battery is "perfect", but have you had it tested along with the alternator? Maybe one of your grounds are loose or a wire got loose/disconnected?

Indeed! Very glad I didn't have it towed and pay labor on something so stupid!

Please disclose the current miles on posts like this.
So a main accessory fuse was blown. Any idea why? Did you have a phone charger plugged in?
Was some aftermarket alarm ever installed? (You do not have to have actually purchased the alarm for the guts to be in there)

I've got an aftermarket amplifier installed with the typical remote turn on wired to ACC. The connection came loose causing a short.
