2013 RDX Pricing
The VIN number looks strange. All of the ones I have seen end with 6 digits, Mine, for instance ends with 001921, Which means it was number 1921 off the line, My dealer is getting eight RDXs in this week. One of the numbers is 000058. most are in the low thousands.

I read somewhere that Acura's production capacity for the 2013 RDX is 185 per day but that sounds high given the VIN numbers that are showing up. They may be taking it slow at first to make sure everything is right.
I would not worry about a very low VIN number - you could make the case that the earliest cars are inspected more rigorously than those produced after the line is vetted.

All this talk about ordering is getting to me. Been to 3 dealers where I've expressed real interest on buying, but made clear I wouldn't be willing to pay MSRP. All 3 have let me walk without even trying to get me to commit. One said what about $400-$500 off to which I was non-commital. Is there something wrong in my approach. I know this model is new, but you'd think at least some follow-up would be in order. I haven't heard a peep!

I got lucky on mine. I was willing to pay MSRP instead of waiting months to get a little bit of a discount. However, they entered it into inventory with the 2012 price and once they found the error out (after everything was agreed) they decided to honor it to their credit. So I basically got it $1500 under MSRP. They would have probably caught the mistake earlier but I bought their only AWD Tech an hour after it was off the truck.

BTW, truecar.com is currently showing a target price of just $255 below MSRP on an AWD Tech in my area (midwest). The target price for a FWD base model is actual above sticker.

LAX2MIA....I am not sure why dealers are being non flexible to offer discounts. As some have said, 500$ is better than nothing. I have a good rapport with my dealer so I was able to get a 1k off MSRP, and several accessories and a great price for my trade in (rav4) and 0.25%.
Hopefully, you will be able to get someone to budge...Its a great vehicle and I think Acura have a hit on their hand...we'll see in future sales report.
Picked up my wife's non-tech AWD on 4/30, exactly a month after we ordered. Didn't get any real break off MSRP but did negotiate at order for all-season mats, rear floor tray, door edge guards, mud guards and wheel locks. Our dealer also provides lifetime oil change as standard to original owner. We also got a free Acura umbrella and baseball cap when we picked it up (whoo hoo).
Congrats Jim...I got confirmation today that my RDX is within 24h of delivery. It has a delivery date of Wednesday but my dealer told me to maybe shoot for Thursday just to be safe. If it arrives tomorrow, I am good but if its Thursday, I'll have to wait till next Tuesday to pick up because of my work. I live over 4h from the dealership so that makes things complicated for me.

BTW, did you see the April sales for the RDX in the US? Well, the monthly US sales shot up this past month, even though it probably was not available in most dealership yet:

Expect pics next week for sure
I agree, Acura has a good vehicle on their hands and I think this will be good for the brand and the dealers.
bought the Black/Ebony AWD + Tech for $38k + Tax/License, Doc fee $230, $15k for trade in (2010 Kizashi SLS AWD) and $900 for acessories with installation included (cargo mat, wheel locks, mud guards, trailer hitch+wiring harness and 2" ball). Will pick it up tomorrow when installations are done and the car is detailed out.
Financed with 3.45% for 72 mo, but in all honesty will probably pay it off in a year, i just like to have that cushion though.
I'm waiting for weather tech to come out with Digifit all weather mats for the RDX.
Will probably install the 3M film next week (mirrors, hood+fenders, rear door sills, rear bumper)

i love them too, i gave in to have the OEM acura cargo tray, but there was no way I could accept their mats...no comparison..now the wait start..lol
not complaining about the black though, so classy

I have one coming in a few days Amber Brownstone with Tech for $37500 which I leased for 39 months with a money factor of .00190 and a 57% residual. I am a two time returning customer and they threw some other incentives and discounted the complete wood package. I should recieve it in about 7 days from Ohio to Dallas.
I was able to check the inventory of a dealership relatively far from home this past Sunday. Made an inquiry online and purchased the car this Monday.
I bought my current TL in Houston while visiting my parents there and I live in Dallas. That's about a 4 hour drive for me. Of course I flew there (the dealership "discounted" the car price by the cost of the plane ticket.). I don't mind driving 4-6 hours to purchase a car if the drive and the deal are worth it.
I was at the dealer last night and got an offer of $1,130 off MSRP for Tech AWD. Total Selling price: $39,185.00. Plus they are giving me what I want for my trade.
I am going to try and get more off, but if I can’t are dealers willing to give up accessories for free? Would love the All-Season Floor Mats and / or Sports Running Boards.
What are your thoughts on this deal and the accessories? Let me know. Thanks.

Hello all,
New member here, adding that my dealer gave me a $1200 off MSRP due to returning customer. Other dealer would not budge off MSRP.
BTW, placed my order for Amber Brownstone, AWD Tech on May 1st. No other information given on build date other than the dealer stating ~ 6 weeks.

The other thing that would be great is if you guys give your location and/or the dealership if possible. That way people can know where they may be able to get the deal.
Thanks for the info - nice to see the discounts getting a bit bigger for some at least.

I wanted to poll the audience - I got a call today that my RDX has shown up early (Basque Red). They claim it just got delivered by truck from the factory, but the VIN they gave (1xx-15x) would indicate that it was among the first RDXs to be produced. Any cause for concern? I won't actually get around to picking it up until the weekend.
