2013 RDX(new) - Advice
Hello everyone,
I'm picking up my First Acura vehicle on Saturday - a White 2013 RDX Base Model. We have a Honda for one of our other vehicles, and I think the Acura will be a nice luxurious vehicle to park in the garage.
I'm looking to find out from other owners what is their favorite thing they like about the Acura RDX, and what do they recommend is the first feature of the RDX I should "play" with? Could be Audio, Electronics, Paddle Shifters, etc. Speaking of the Paddle Shifters - does anyone have any advice there, or how and when do they typically use these?
I've got the iPhone5 so I'm looking forward to the integration, and the Eyes Free Siri coming soon.
Thanks - can't wait till Saturday!!

Congrats on the new RDX! I think you'll find several things to like about it.
I suppose one of the things I found nice was the gas mileage for a large boxy vehicle like this - I'm doing 21.5-22 around town, with virtually no freeway use. And if I do get on the freeway, it doesn't take any time for the mileage to jump to 25. I'm expecting highway mileage of 30 or more and I don't think I'll be disappointed. Pretty amazing for a V6 CUV IMO!
I think you'll also appreciate the ride and handling, and the quietness.
As far as the paddle shifters are concerned, you probably won't use them much unless you tend to drive in "S" and shift for yourself. When I drive in hilly or mountainous areas, I find them useful to downshift on downhill grades and occasionally to downshift for a climb.
Enjoy your new RDX!

Congrats.. White RDX looks classy.
Enjoy never having to take out your keys with the keyless entry and push button start. I'd set up our door preferences to your liking as its annoying when you have to unlock all the doors each time the car stops. Try out Sport mode vs regular but don't drive too fast.

Ordered my RDX AWD Tech today in White Diamond Pearl. Dealer was out of stock in white but still gave me a great deal on my trade and the discount on the vehicle. Bairel Acura in Wexford,Pa. north of Pittsburgh was professional and low key, no pressure. Highly recommend this dealership. Added splash guards, body side moldings, all weather mats, cargo mat and cargo cover. Should arrive in 7-10 days.

^^^ Congrats on your new vehicle! You have great taste *lol* I have the same....as with a 2012 TL, despite what people say about Acura, man these are fine vehicles!! I just took my TL out today after being stored for the last 3 months due to winter weather, OMG, I have not stopped grinning from ears to ears....

Just picked up my new ride yestrday in Salt Lake City. The dealer, Jody Wilkenson was great and the car, so far...terrific, after coming out of a high milage BMWX5 4.4 which was a ticking time bomb. Looking forward to learning more from this group of owners.
