"Zing" noise when accelerating
Well I don't know what is making the noise but can relate it to switching gears. I Did a search in this forum and found some peoples complaints of a tranny "whine", someone used the example of a manual reversing. Mine does not sound anything like that. I Notice it in 2nd and 3rd above 2k RPMS. I call it like a "Zzziiiinnnng" type noise, and it is not too loud. I noticed it after I had my CAI installed. My car has 37 k miles on it and I think is on the original tranny (bought CPO).
Just wondering if anyone else has heard this on their cars, and whether it could be cause for concern ? Other than the noise the car seems to shift fine and no signs of tranny problems.

My car makes that noise when parked and I rev the engine. over 2 or 3 k rpms it will make that zing noise on the way down. or after I let off the gas...does your car also do that? I can't really tell while driving....the stereo is always on too loud..
