what does tranny slippage feel like
my car ''cuts out'' at times alot now. i cant tell if its the tranny or a fuel related problem. i'll just be driving along at a cruising speed and the car will act as though its in N or its gettting no gas for a second. any input on this?

no, you are just experiencing the "normal" behavior. I get this a couple of times per day.
search Acura-TL.com forums for "hickup"
whatever it is, some people say it is caused by torque converter locking/unlocking
other people say it is tranny grade logic
yet some other people say that it is ABS testing itself
It is sure annoying. It normally happens to me when I cruise at 40-50mph, steady speed and pressure on gas pedal, flat road.
Once it happened when I was flying on a highway at 80mph. That was scary. I had just gone over the top of an overpass, so maybe it has something to do with grade logic.
None of my other cars ever had anything like this.
My TL-S did it when new and continues doing this after my tranny failed and was replaced with another tranny.
