I have a 2001 CL-s, 63,000 miles on it. One month ago i needed to have my transmission changed becuase the seconed gear was fully burnt. Now that i have a new transmission, a month has passed and i am starting to feel the car kick when switching gears. I am so pissed off with these problems with the transmission.
Is there anything i can do to improve this problem or do i have to go to the acura dealership and check my transmission out?

 

Outside of buying a new non-Honda car, there is no real fix for the poorly designed 5AT. The oil jet kit was a band aide for the second gear melt down. Unfortunately, It does nothing for the third gear clutch fry. You could try a trans cooler, but I doubt it will improve the situation.

The positive thing about your trans failure is you get to join the F.A.T. (Failed Automatic Trans) group, and you have taken the first step inbecoming a member of the F.A.R.T. (Failed Acura Replacement Trans) group.
