I thought I would through this out to the group. My neighbor had the tranny re-call done about 2 weeks ago ... one week later, no more tranny! His transmission seemed fine both before and after the oil jet was put in. He started the TL the other morning and it wouldn't shift into gear. The dealer say's the tranny is bad.

So, anyone else has a similar problem after the re-call was done?

 

Mine didn't make it 50 mi. Stared slam shifting, at 50/60 mph. They had changed fluid and installed the oil jet kit.

 

I had the same problem. My tranny started slipping after Acura installed the Oil Jet Kit. Looks like I am not the only one.

 

keep in mind that the oil jet does NOT fix the problem that extended your warranty to 7 yr/100k .. the oil jet fixes a brand NEW problem ..

 

 

But doesn't seem odd that the tranny would fail just after installing the oil jet? My neighbor is an older guy (65 or so) who never speeds, doesn't accelerate hard, very easy on his beloved TL. No problems at all until the oil jet was installed.
