I had bought a mint '01 cls with 24,000 miles and had no problems until the trans died at 30,000. The dealer replaced it and that was that, until my buddy told me about this forum. What the fuck is going on! Are you telling me that the recently "replaced tranny" may fail too. It was replaced this past Sept. Was the design changed by then and incoorporated into the replacement to prevent future failures? Does the new 7/100 warrenty cover the replacement? When mine failed, it jumped from 5->2->4->3>2 or something like that, stalled, then went into neutral and then wouldn't shift period. The VSA also went out. Jesus, thank god I wasn't on the highway. Now i'm totally paranoid and am thinking about getting rid of the car. Any thoughts. Later.

 

We totaly share your frustrations. Honda says its only 2%... but who knows? its definatly higher than expected and definatly something going on.... according to this forum unofficial number much higher than 2% (20-30??), but you know these numbers could be exagerated because of people like you who only join the forum because they have a problem, otherwise you would not probably join this forum? anyway, you should have new design (according to acura), but some people say the new design will only happen after new year... so don't really know... you got 100/7 warranty, so I would relax...
