does driving using the triptonic really damage the tranny more than auto? this guy that works at a local shop told me to not use the sss tranny much, seeing that they already have tranny probs. so is this true or not about driving in sss makes the tranny go out faster???

Using SportShift is what's holding my tranny together. My tranny's been slipping in 2nd to 3rd gear upshifts about 12k miles ago. It doesn't slip when I take 2nd gear to 3000rpm, let go of the gas pedal then quickly sportshifting to 3rd gear. Believe me, it wouldn't have lasted this long if I used auto. Using SportShift will prolong the life of your transmission.

I had wondered the same thing and posted a thread about gas mileage in relation to the sportshift vs. auto. The responses I got back were positive, if it hurt your transmission then it wouldn't be on the car. Use freely and drive safe.
