In the list found in the sticky above, if a car is out of the range, then is it gonna be okay, or just maybe? And since I'm new, is there hope...?

Thanks for the bump but...
I have a new question...
If I were to buy a 2002 that has had a new tranny put in (or rebuilt), then what are the chances that the fix is permanent?
I am on the verge of buying a TL Type S, but I don't want the hassle, that's why I'm getting rid of my current car.
Please!

There are some people that get tranny after tranny and one would think there were cursed.
Do you like to gamble? I'm not trying to be funny. I'm just trying to tell you that I don't know anyone that can know if they are going to be "trouble free" or "full of trouble."
I don't know what I would do if I were in your shoes, and I really like the cars (TLS/CLS).

keep in mind that Acura had 4 fixes to the tranny applied over year .. so even if you did have a replaced tranny .. you'd never know which fixes were applied to the unit ..
