PCM questions

I read the whole Tranny with the PCM change thread and since it's seems to be mostly dead now I figured I'd ask in a new thread.

So are there really several versions of the PCM change?

If so, does the most recent on take away power and lower full throttle shift points?

I was told by my service advisor who seems to be a pretty honest fellow that the pcm will actually add some horsepower, he talked to the mechanics and said it will be virtually unnoticeable since its only 2-4 horsepower. That just seems to be contrary to what I read.

I normally drive slow and calm, but the route to my college is a dangerous two lane (one in each direction) highway in the middle of the everglades and I need all the passing power I can have. I did buy a type S for a reason. They didn't change the PCM last time my tranny was replaced for the record.

Sounds good, I hope that is the case. In a way I was kind of looking for a push to get a CLS6....but if its going to run like before than I can wait until the perfect one comes along in FL.

Alright...I floored it today for the first time in long while after following the break-in advice from fsttyms1 and it is still a rocket, shifts just where it use to (7k) but with a shorter gap inbetween gear changes.

Felt exactly the same as I remember before horsepower wise.
