Need Help Fast

GREAT....I just stopped around the corner from my house and when I started to go the RPMs just kept going and I was only going about 20-25mph. Luckily I was right around the corner from my house so I went about 20mph to my house. I pulled in and called Acura Service. They said if it did it again to bring it in.

I pulled out the driveway and did a test run...again it will keep climbing and never shift. It seems like its stuck in 1st or 2nd gear. I didnt try to gate shift or put it in SS but I shouldnt have to do this test.

My question is that since I'm sure I will have to tow it to the dealership and my tow only goes for X amount of miles, Is the dealership going to reimburse me the extra money I have to pay to get it to the dealership????

HELP????

Thanks

Wouldn't the Acura TLC/roadside assistance foot the bill?

I have over 60K..i hear that has expired unless I'm wrong. I purchased the extended 4yr/100K warranty.

unless they will just do the tow so that they dont have to worry about the other tow company..I would just call and ask but its going to voicemail.

Your extended warranty should cover what the regular acura recall does not(because you are so close to the dealership). Trust me, call the dealer & deal with them directly. My tranny just went on a trip about 200 miles from my home and Acura's TLC only made the situation worse.

Call the dealer & be nice.

OK...finally got someone on the line. I explained the problem and he asked if I need a tow or something...I said a tow since I live 35 miles away. He asked if I did the work there and I said yes. Since this person was only a dispatch person, I will have to wait for him to call me back. ooooooh great....WTF man.....this is killing me....

Call your dealer, explain what happened. When my tranny went it started doing the same thing. They told me it was OK to drive as long as I was careful....don't go racing. They also asked me if I needed a tow. So I think they will foot the bill.
And in the future, get AAA Plus. I have never had a car that spent so much time on the back of a flatbed. Actually planning to take the next set of photos on one.
