Does This Make Sense?

I ve been thinking/reading about all these tranny problems and i thought about something

if we are getting completely replaced tranny's why wont they bring your milege back down to 0 after replacing it? i mean its brand new aint it? they should give u all your km back ..that way its better for resale and all?

srry if it's a stupid question

Well, i think the engine and the rest of the car also has the wear and tear so just replacing the transmission only affects the tranny.

under your car's history, there would have to be a note saying:
"transmission replaced @ xx,xxx miles" right?

well...

Well if that were to happen, I think it would be worse for resale value (especially transmission replaced @ 23k, transmission replaced @52K )
