Question Dealership persuasion help.

Ok, I took my car in for transmission problems today and they already said they'd replace it under warranty. But they also mentioned motor mounts will need to be replaced. I've trolled around and have noticed the 2 issues are related yet some people got it taken care of and some had to pay.

What can I tactfully say that the two issues are related and the mounts should be replaced per warranty as well? Does anyone know of a regional manager in CA that I can get assurance from? They want $750 for parts and labor....not so easy to swing in December. I haven't talked to them yet, they informed me on my VM. Any help would be greatly appreciatted.

You could always give it a go yourself or take a to a independant shop. $750 seems a little steep. Alot of the members here have done it themselves. Use the search function. One advantage of doing them yourself is you can polyurethene the mounts to reduce engine hop.

thats true. you do not have to have them replace the motor mounts. take it somewhere else after you have them replace the tranny.

or yea, the two issues are related and tell them that it should covered under warranty. gl
