Another Dead Tranny!
Just talked to Tom at Park Ave. and he told me that they have to order a new tranny for my car. They're not sure when it will be in, but hopefully it won't take too long. I dropped the car of yesterday and told him that I felt a lot of vibration through the car when changing gears, and last week my car didn't want to shift out of 3rd gear. I'm happy that it didn't die on me while I was driving it. But now I'm driving their rental, which is a Ford Contour....oh god please get my tranny fixed quick!!!!
He probably thinks I'm a spoiled brat cause I asked him if they had better rental I can get, maybe a TL or something

Loving my 08 TLS!
I would call Acura Client Services to report your tranny problem. So at least they can have this one on file. My car is in Park Ave too waiting to get a new transmission. So far 1.5 weeks already and counting.

What kind of rental did you get?
I'll call ACS to report my problem.

I don't think you understand. The tranny are not available in the dealer. They need to ship from somewhere else. Expect to wait at least 2 weeks because when I drop off my car, Vinny told me there is NO ETA. So, they gave me a crappy corolla from enterprise. The next day, I was so pissed at this loaner so I got on the phone with ACS and bitch about my problem. They generate a case and then a case manager call me back the next day. And I explain to him again my inconvienences. I basically told him to get me a bigger car with power options and find out how long I have to wait for my new tranny. He then contacted Wayne in PAA to get enterprise to supply a bigger loaner. Enterprise then traded me a POS Saturn, at least it is better than the corolla. And the case manager call me at least once a week to let me the status of my tranny. Finally, yesterday he called and said my tranny will be arriving in PAA on Monday. So I am hoping I will get my car back next week. Definitely call ACS asap because PAA ain't gonna do shit for you unless the ppl from Acura tell them to do so.
