at 73K miles and 5.5 years...

my 2001 CL-S is at the dealership for a tranny swap. It started slipping between 2nd and 3rd gear on Friday and I got a little concerned. Then on Saturday morning I noticed it again and called the dealership. They told me to bring it right in. So I dropped it off, took off in a 2004 TL loaner and a couple of hours later, they called and said they needed to talk to the district rep and most likely will end up doing the swap.

Oh well, so much for thinking that I had one of the "good" trannies. At least they got me a decent loaner.

i'm guessing this problem is lurking for all. whether on their first one or fourth. are there any plans for a replacement? i'm barely going on two years with my used CL which is on its second and looking to swap for a domestic with a V8 for next year. you?

Yeah that's tight you got a new TL. Usually they give you a TSX loaner.

yeah, i had them do their inspection and whatever they do and they said it was fine. this was a while ago though.

i just hope the new tranny doesn't slow the car down.
