I looked everywhere in acurazine for this and can't find anything!!
Is there any wiring or module that can be changed to prevent the 1st to 2nd auto shift on the sportshifter? (it would be great if i could just unplug or cut something but my luck sucks...) i know it works if you shift it down to 1 in the gate but that would be a bitch at the track. i want to be able to hit the 1st/2nd shift when i want, not when the car thinks its a good idea. and are there any solutions under $200? i really dont want to have to buy a $700+ program to do just this one thing.

doubt u can do it with a program also. never heard of anyone programing the shifter.
how would it be a bitch to use gate shift? also what kind of racing?

you would have to update the ECM to change how the sport shift works and that's not going to happen for your average user since the ECM is not software updateable for our cars

that blows, so only major software changes sounds expensive... sutpid someone should fix that. gate shifting the 01 CL-S auto would be bad drag racing....
