Yellow Koni - Damper setting for daily commute (poll).

My current setup is CT Springs and Sways and I am about to put Yellow Koni’s on. I am leaning toward softest setting to smooth out the ride.

I don’t want to be too soft and give up tight handling and I don’t want to be so tight that I feel every bump.

Where have you guys settled (dampers) for every day commuting?

Koni yellow - Damper setting for daily commute

I wish I could help you. I have Koni yellows but I have no idea how to change the damper setting using numbers for the various settings as you have shown in your example. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

I have it set about 1/3 at all corners. I tried at 1/2 and thought it was too stiff for daily commute, and likewise set at like 1/4 and thought it could still be tightened up a tad.

I currently have mine cranked down to the firmest settings all around. It'll get old pretty soon though...

So 1/3 sounds like a happy medium. I was thinking about ½ during the install, but may knock it down a bit (to 1/3) seeing your notes. I know these are adjustable but I don’t want to mess around with the back seats all that often.

If you have the Yellow Koni Sport, you should see this. Just turn the knob. There are no numbers, i was just using numbers to get an idea how far you guys are turning the knob.

Is there a difference between Koni Yellow and Koni Yellow Sport? Are they the same thing?

I found Koni Yellow on a website, and I'm wondering if it has that damper setting knob.

Not sure but the series for the CL is the Sport. This is right off their catalog page and it's for the CL (01-03)

3.2 CL, Adj. spring perch can lower car approx. F & R=20mm 01-03 8041-1257 Sport (Front) 8041-1258 Sport (Rear)

Koni Yellow - Damper setting for daily commute

They say that one picture is worth a thousand words, and now that you have posted a pic, I have a clearer idea of what you were inquiring. I have the H & R sport springs with a 1.75" drop in the front and 1.50" drop in the rear with Comptech sway bars installed. I have a full turn all round on the Koni's and do not find that setup to be at all uncomfortable on the highway. As a matter of fact I plan to increase the rear damping one half turn for an even stiffer ride.

why are the Koni Yellows nearly twice as much as the Tokico Illuminas? I am about to get a new shock/spring setup and I was leaning toward the Tein H Tech springs and Illumina shocks. I would almost rather have a slight raked look because of my system. I really hate it when the back is lower than the front
