will rim width with offset be a problem?

whats up guys i havent been on here in a while. anyway im thinking about pulling the trigger on some rims there 19x9.5 with a 40 offset. i wanted to know if this will be a problem. im currently running 19x8 40offset with no problem with a fender roll of course. also would i still be able to run my 225 tires or would i have to go up to 235.

For that wheel fitment on our cars, I'd stick with the 225's on the 9.5's and let it stretch. You will probably need to dial in some extra negative camber as well, and may want to shave instead of the roll if it's not rolled totally flat right now.

Since the wheels are the same offset as the ones you're currently running, but 1.5" wider, just try to imagine the wheels .75" further out on the outside and .75" closer to the coilover. (thus the 1.5" total addition in width) Also keep in mind the extra negative camber you dial in would also make it closer to the coilover, but I don't think you will have an issue here with rubbing the coilover. The negative camber would help to give you more clearance away from the fender.

Good luck with the setup, sounds like it will look pretty tough. I'm sure Phil will chime in with more advice as well since he's done some crazy widths/offsets and keeps going more aggressive.

I would think you could run that size/ offset. Maybe a little camber in the rear. For sure thou you will need to stick with the 225. That would be a nice streched tire that I would like to see..

you dont have to get new tires, you can stretch your current ones, that wa you prolly wouldnt have to fender toll either
