Wheels that are confirmed to fit (or not to fit) w/ a BBK

I have been looking for new wheels and haven't been coming up with many options because of my BBK (i.e. Ron Jon, custom iforged, HRE)

I wanted to see what wheels are 'confirmed' either to fit or not to fit.

I know there have been threads about looking for a high offset (i.e. +50) and the design of the wheel, but I am sure there are folks out there that have tried and either realized that the wheels don't fit or have done other things (i.e. spacers) to have the wheels fit.

Two that I know of are:

1) 04-06 17x8 +45 TL Wheels - Fit
2) Racing Hart 3 piece C2 19x8 +50 - Do not fit (thanks, cltypeSLOW)

I'm almost positive that all of RJs designs will clear the BBK. I have 18"x7.5" Inspyres on my CL and there's more clearance with those than there is with my stock wheels with 5mm spacers.

well you can count on RonJon's wheels to clear bbk...his wheel lineup is pretty sweet, and its growing too...can't go wrong with the RJ wheels imo because they're designed for your car, without paying the hre/dpe/iforged price tag...good luck with ur wheel search...

and for your list, i forgot to add that the following wheels cleared bbk on my cl-s without using spacers:

Foose Speedster: 20x7.5 +45
Axis Hagen: 19x8 +45

most work and volk wheels clear our bbk. there are A LOT of wheels that clear the bbk that are super nice. i dont know why you are having such a difficult time finding some?

oh and i think the RJ inspyes need a spacer for the bbk? i remember someone having to run one.

I have been looking at work and volks, but haven't found any that fit my style. IMO, the only nice mesh wheel on our cars are the real C2's. Most volks are nice, but I don't think a lot of them match well with the coupe. Maybe I am being too picky, but there hasn't been a wheel in each of those brands that has 'wowed' me yet or isn't imitated by another cheapo wheel manufacturer.

...and the real purpose of this thread is to consolidate those wheels that people have actually tried and either worked or didn't work so that some poor lad down the way will know what wheels others have tried.

Also, dealing with generalizations...what are the guidelines for offsets with a BBK for 17, 18, and 19 wheels with 7.5 - 8.5 widths?

correct me if i'm wrong but i don't believe offset has anything to do with clearing bbk.

how so. the TL wheels with +45 do clear but your +50s don't; then my +52 will clear the bbk. i was thinking along the lines of the "spokes" having the largest factor. whether they bend out, or are more flat.

alright you made me do some research. this should explain everything in Lehman's terms.

ok try this on instead.

offset, width and spoke design all lend to BBK clearance. Our wheels all clear Rotora BBK, 4 pistion with one piece rotor. Brembo's will need 5mm spacers but then again, no wheel with a high offset will clear BBK's without rubbing.
