wheel width considerations

Hi - I just ordered a set of Work 18x8 wheels with a +47 offset. I would have preferred if the offset was +50, or so, but the manufacturer assured me that these were the specifications that would fit, especially if I wanted to put on BBKs in the future, which I plan to. My car is lowered on the new Comptech springs with Koni Yellow shocks (~2/~1.7 in. F/R), and I plan to use 235/40/18 Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 or Bridgestone Potenza tires. I’ve searched previous posts and came to the conclusion that this set-up will probably be OK. Not sure what I’ll do if it isn’t, but that’s a topic for future posts. My question is with the 235 width tires, is there any problems with rubbing during sharp turns? That is, does the turning radius increase because the width of the tire interferes with the full turning of the steering wheel? All the discussions I found in my search were about the tires rubbing against the fenders, offset, drop height, etc., and this doesn’t seem like the same thing to me.

235/40/18 is cutting it close, but you should be fine, keep in mnd, one manufacturer's 235 series might vary slightly from another's. Ideally, you want to be in the 50's for offset. Worst case scneario, roll your fenders where it rubs if so. Not suggested due to potential paint cracxking and rust potential, but a solution.
