Wheel Fitment__9.5 inch rear wheel
Here I go again... a question for the wheel experts...
1. What needs to be done to the CL to fit the following:
- Front_19 x 8.5_35mm offset (this seems too aggressive for the front to me)
- Rear_19 x 9.5_40mm offset
what is involved in relocating the bumper tab rear?
2. Tire size:
I am thinking of running the following sizes:
Front: 225/35/19_79.4 inch circumference
Rear: 265/30/19_79.2 inch circumference
- is this safe? I see VW's running this same setup with no problems. Jetta/Golfs for example.
As my car was recently hit lightly on the right rear fender, i have to go in for some paint/body work. Doing fender pulls on the rear and front wont be too costly as there is sunk cost involved for much of the cost anyway.
Any advice is welcome...

Expect to lose a lot of performance with doing this setup. Kind of goes against the logic for performance mods that you've already done to your car.
As for the setup, Im pretty sure it would be very costly to run this staggered setup on the CL. Im fairly sure that it would require a lot of body work to make the sizes above work.
Pretty sure other people can give you a better idea of what needs to be done if it is at all feasible.
But a staggered setup on a fwd car drives me crazy, but to each his own, good luck.

sorry for the double post. i couldnt find my original post and didnt realize it was in the wheels/tire section...
Re: 265/30/19
its the only size that gives the correct wheel circumference and avoids too much tire stretch. Its just an idea, i dont know if it will work.
