what offset are you running?

So I got 35 mm offset on my rims right now on stock suspension and still needed to roll my fenders in the rear to maker sure they didn't rub. And now I decided I want K sport coilovers and do not wanna run negative camber.

So my question is:

what offset are you lowered guys running?

Cause I see a lot of 45mm offset rims I want but dunno if I can/should get.

I need your advice guys. help me out here

i know they are nothing special. but i'm not a believer in spending $ on rims when they'll get scratched eventually and u'll be even more pissed.

but will those (per se) fit with my car lowered maybe 2 inches?

remember the rim width is a factor too. i'm running 19x8 +51 offset rims. I can just tuck in the rear with a heavy trunk. I know someone in the GTA with 05 TL rims (17x8 +45) and he had to roll his fenders. Don't get those rims above, they will kill your cars looks. I don't understand why you wouldn't want nice rims. They make or brake the car IMO.

Well I want to get ronjohn's these:

http://www.torontohonda.com/common/partsview.cfm?id=359

but that's like 1600 for rims. it's hard to justify.

I already have rolled rear fenders so I guess 45mm offset is doable ay? if the rim is 7.5 or less

i like the TL Aspec rims tho also

I would say try to find something 8 inches wide and offset of 45 or higher. You could probably get away with a 40 offset maybe.

You can use http://www.1010tires.com to compare fitments. They have a calculator on the site. I have 18x8.5 wheels 52mm offset waiting to test fit them still. I used the calculator on that site punched in the stock wheel size and my new wheels and found out they will be 16mm less inner clearance and will stick out 22mm more from the outside.

Those RonJon's don't suit a CL IMO.
the A-spec rims look very nice i think. there are pics if you search.

it should wont know for sure till you test fit tho. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mitsu...Q5fAccessories these wheels from the evo 9 would be sexy on a cl good price too. Offset is a little low tho.

I have the had following:

18x7 +42
19x8.5 +45
19x8 +45

All of them fit fine with no significant rubbing, and I am lowered on H&R sports (~ 1.5" drop, or so)

I don't think 1600 for rims is hard to justify, its the most noticable thing on the car and considering rims can cost up to 10 000 or more its not much IMO

well they get scratched in the end... like nice shoes..

and I hate imperfections. so that's why i see it hard to spend so much on something that will almost for sure get screwed up

you should ask the Azine guys with the aggressive wheel fitment... they know what they're doing in the wheel section... i was going to make a thread like this but you beat me to it...

i also wanna know what is the lowest offset. widest rim size that i can fit without running camber....

yes rims get scraches, but usually nothing major. I'm a big fan of mesh style rims on the CL, but that's just me. Just take your time, and get something nice.

I almost bought these before i found mine: http://www.carkraze.ca/product_info....roducts_id=258

There are always people asking questions like this. Thing is there isn't really a number where if you go over it, you'll need to run neg. camber.

so for the 18's your paying 1000 for the set, then after rubber balance and getting them put on you've probably spent over 1600

pretty easy to justify eh?

I kinda agree on what you say about wheels. I didnt wanna spend that much also cause wheels get damaged faster than most parts on a car and i am a perfectionist also. My stock wheels have damage but it dsnt bother me cause I dont care, but if i spent 2k or more on wheels any damage would drive me crazy and id be too worried when driving of hitting potholes etc. I wanted a summer set tho and at first was looking at ronjon's on sale for 500 a set or the enkei alot of ppl have that are 700. After looking on tirerack i got the last set of SSR wheels they had on clearance for 46% off. I ended up paying a little under 300 each for rims that retail for 500-600 each so im happy.

these arent the lowest offset nor the widest wheels but its going to be hard to beat 8.5 with 38 offset with Zero camber. thats what im currently riding, on coilovers set as low as possible without running neg camber. i think wheels with zero, maybe 1-1.5 neg looks the best, some of these cars with crazy camber just to get the wheels to fit i think looks ridiculous...unless of course its bagged

i cant have anyone in my backseats though or else id rub bad. i havent even tried it, and ill rub with someone heavy in the front seat. ive contemplated running a little neg camber but at the same time IMO perfect offset in relationship to the fender with zero camber kills a similar setup with noticible neg camber

Dont know much about Nankang, but typically you get what you pay for.

Aspect ratio isnt the only factor that matters for the speedo, overall diameter is. Stock OD is 25.5", so try to stick close to that.

right so I need 225/40/r18 tires correct???

I got my rear fenders rolled so i don't have to worry about rubbing anymore.... that's WHY i am getting new wheels cause I cannot STAND rubbing. I feel like a charity case

18x8 48mm 235-40-18 I wouldn't run anything but that, But that's me. I ran this on 2 CL's & never rubbed once with a full trunk gas tank & people load.

225/40/18 is a little shorter than stock, so your speedo will read a bit fast. 235/40/18 is closer to stock diameter, but would be more likely to rub if its close already.

width of the tire has nothing to do with the speedo... 225 or 235 will not effect the speedo reading.

you meant to go 45 on the profile... instead of 40. (this changes the diameter/overall sie of the wheel and that changes the speedo)

40 profile is only 1.3% smaller than stock diameter so it's all good.

I'd rather have a fast speed than a SLOW speedo... less likely to speeed
