What is the difference between 280 & 300 Treadwear??
As Stated above..........what is the difference??
I understand mileage is a difference but by how much??? stickier tire??
On my summer tires I have 300 Treadwear on the Parada Spec II and I got 400 treadwear on my winter set up, Continental Contiextreme Contact.
I am looking at the Yoko AVS ES 100 and it has 280 treadwear......and real difference?

Where is my super sauce?
Within a single manufacturer, supposedly the UTQG treadwear rating can be compared. So, in comparing one Yokohama to another Yokohama I would guess that these tires have similar wear rates.
What is the actual mileage to expect -- that's really anyone's guess. It depends on the car/rim it's mouted on and your actual driving habits. One could assume that a tire with at UTQG wear rating of 100 will wear quicker then one with a rating of 400, but the actual difference in total miles of usability is not really easily predictable.
FWIW, people that have the Yokohama ES100 on these boards seem to like them a lot. I've heard more iffy reports about the Parada.

I had Kumho Ecsta's (stock size) on mine for a while. As I recall they had a treadwear rating of about 280. They barely lasted a year but they stuck like glue to everything except snow (but that's the tradeoff for a low tread number). Keep in mid too that I put about 36K on my car every year. If you have a summer/winter setup, you ought to get a couple of seasons out of them.
