Tires turning brown!
Guys, I need your help! It has to do with the color of my tires... Instead of being black they have turned a dull brown color and this is even with applying Meguiars tire treatment!!! What do you guys recommend that I do?? What tire treatment products do you guys use??

before you put on any dressing, spray down the tires w/ simple green, let 'em sit for a minute then scrub w/ a brush. this should remove the brown stuff. then apply some dress.

I never knew tires dried out... I have never had this problem with any of the previous cars that I have owned.. So is the brown color a temporary stain or is it going to be permanent??? I'll try to use soap and water and try to scrub the brown off but I can't believe my tires have changed colors even though I have been using Meguiars tire treatment!!

Get a bottle of Westley Bleach-WITE whitewall/blackwall Tire Cleaner. Spray it on & hose off then treat your tires with the Meguiars Endurance High Gloss Formular. Do 2 or 3 applications of this wait 10mins between each coat.

From what I've heard/read, the brown stuff is a by-product of the tire's built-in anti-aging process. Interestingly enough, this process gets accelerated whenever you use tire shine products, i.e. Meguiars, Armor-All, etc. I think it's from the silicone which is rumored to cause rubber/vinyl to "rot". It's a controversial issue among enthusiasts but for practical purposes it shouldn't be a problem on your tires....Just clean it off and reapply whatever tire shine product you use. My .02.

Try an SOS pad...the steel wool pad with the soap in it...thats what I used to use back in the day with some white walls....use to get anything and every thing of the tire.
