tires?
I believe the 235 will give you a closer overall diameter, but there is a better chance of RUBBING depending on the RIM width, offset and design of the tire.
I went with the 225 to be safe because I am dropped on Comptech Springs.

Depends on your rim width and comfort preferences. If your wheel is 8.0" wide the 225 will be recommended by the tire manufacturer, if you are 8.5 wide the 235 will be recommended (per Michelin for example). However, the range for either rim width covers both tire sizes so no problem either way. This is where comfort comes in. Putting a narrower tire may give a firmer ride, putting a wider tire may provide more cushion. However, we are only talking 10mm difference here - probably not noticeable. The difference of 1mph at 75mph if you go with the 225's is also not very much. Its your call. (No rubbing on my 235's)
ok....so i planned on ordering 18x7.5 rims with a +48 offset, but they can't get them.....does anyone see a problem with 18x8 with a +48 offset on 225/40/18 tires with comptech springs....even if i have other people in the car?
