Tires

When I wear out the stock set I'll probibly move to 18 inch wheels but I'm curious about tire series that are good in dry and in the rain (that is all we get in FL) agressive feeling don't squeal on lines and agressive looking. (treads) Anyone know any?

In 18"

TOYO T1S Proxy 235/40ZR18-95W*
TOYO T1S Proxy 225/40ZR18-92W*

In 17"

Toyo T1S Proxy 235/45ZR17-97W*

The tires specs I provided to you are recommended by the Dr. The doctor likes the 17" for low rotational inertia with super light wheels (like SSR Competitions, Volks, Racing Harts, etc).

The 18" look great, add a little bit of inertia, but you can get great tires.

If you have a thing about not getting Toyos, then have a look at some other tires. Perhaps the new Bridgestone tires So-?? (whatever they are going to call them) will be nice. For right now, the Toyos work with the Acura CL-S.

Do a search, and see if you can find any un-happy patients.

They put laughing gas in those things or every body is happy 'cause there just so damn good!

Check out the Tire Rack Ultra High Performance All season tire report on DUNLOP SP SPORT 5000 tires. A friend of mine put them on his 1999 Avalon and loves them. I hear good reports on them Good Luck!

I didn't think a Toyota Barge-a-thon, er Avalon, was in the same class as our cars. Of course he's happy with them, he probably had skinny stock Michelins on as oem.
