Tire Width?

I'm about to through down on some new rims. I want either 18's or 19's, but I'm not sure what the best width is. I know that up front they can only be so wide without rubbing but I want to know if there is any advantage to having wider tires in the back. Like 7.5 in the front and 8+ in the back or is it pointless? (BTW I really like these ones http://www.wheelsnext.com/wheels-rim...k%20Gloss.html)

Most after market rims will be wider than our stock rims. Some people like the look of having wider wheels at the back, makes the car look a bit meaner (RWD). A negative to different widths is that you can't really rotate the wheels. I think 8" is a good width, but it all depends on what you're looking for. There are a few sites where you can put the wheels on your exact car...can't remember the site though.

its all about offset. I had 215/50/17 with 40 offset and 17x7 rims and it rubbed in the back. Now I have 235/40/18 with 50 offset with 18x8 with no rubbing in the front or back.
