Tire Replacement ? Please Help!!!

Alright i know this topic has been beaten like a dead horse...but theres always new and improved tires out on the market. Im looking into purchasing 4 new tires this month and i need help making a decision...any feedback would be greatly appreciated; as far as BRAND or Size. Should I stay with the stock size or move up, im thinking about the 235/45/17. Let me know what you think.

So far its a toss up between the following tires (235/45/17") :

Toyo Proxes 4
Pirelli P Zero Nero M+S
Turanza LS V

If you know of any other tires please feel free to post....looking forward to hearing from you.

You might be better off getting the Toyo t1-s since you live in Miami and probably do not need an all-season tire? And I would recommend the 235-45-17 size.

I put 235/45-17 Fuzion ZR1's on stock wheel last November. I have 15K so far and they feel like new. I check tire pressure every 2-3 weeks and so far they are always with .5 lb of each other and rarely low. I am in Tampa so our condiitons are identical. Rain or shine they hold the road well.

bit more info.

Dave im sure this is a stupid ? but what would i get out of an all performance tire as opposed to an all season tire. Not really sure of the difference between the two. Your right, in Miami the only 2 conditions are rain and sunshine and occassional hurricane every now and then. Just interested in finding out what would be the pros and cons.

thanks again.

Question

I'm glad that someone posted this. I am about to purchase some new tires. I really don't know if I am going to go with the factor OEM tires on my 2003 CL-S. The Tires I have on it now are Michelin Pilot MxM4's. I live in the North East. But I just found out that my alligmment is knocked off so one of tires had more wear than the rest of them. The choice of tires are:

Continental Conti Pro Contact (New Tire for 2005)

Yokohama Avids V4's

Toyo TPT's

Bridgestone Turanza's Ls-V

I really do not drive the car hard. Pretty much a smooth driver. Can someone give me a suggestion? Thanks!!!!!

I may not be the best person to answer this, but I think the two differences are that the tread design on an all season tire should allow it to get around in the snow. This tread pattern must compromise wet and dry handling somewhat as a result. So, the T1-r or T1-s will offer better wet or dry handling compared to the Proxes 4.

Number two is that an all season tire has to withstand cold temperatures.

Compare the tread patterns on the t1-s or t1-r versus the Proxes 4 at toyo.com to illustrate the differences.
