Tire Balancing Problem

ok guys, i have noticed a problem with my front driver tire. when i drive my car in dry conditions the tires are balanced fine. when the road is wet, i have bad tire shake. i've had the tires balanced numerous times, i have had the wheel checked, and i can't find anything wrong with any of the suspension or steering parts. any suggestions?

I had 2 tires on my last car that just couldnt be balanced very well, they were just too out of round. Have you had the car high speed balanced?

Weather conditions shouldn't effect the balance of your tires. The only thing I could think of that might be causing a problem is any kind of buildup in your wheels (lots of stuff likes to hide behind spokes) that is responding to the rain (mud, tar, etc). If there is a Discount Tire Co. nearby take it to them and have them roadforce test your tire and match mount it. I can't think of the last time I've been to one of our shops that didn't have one. Got any more details? Speeds, only when braking, only when letting off the gas, etc.

It could be the wear of the tire, but if that tire is the only one wearing that way looks like you need to visit a good mechanic or alignment shop. I say mechanic because usually if its only one hub that is having uneven wear problems, its usually shock related. 1 more word of advice, never ever ever ever ever but any kind of additive inside your tires. I don't care what kind of conditions may make it seem like a good idea at the time, never do it. I dunno how many times I've had to clean "tire muscle" out of some guys tires because his car was bouncing all over the road.

there is no buildup inside of my wheels. (i take them off and wash them when i wash my car.)
i refuse to take my car to any discount tire store in my area. (all three of the stores have damaged various wheels on my cars.)
tires have even wear all the way across them
i have coilovers that are in good shape.
and i would never put slime or fix a flat or any other crap in my tires.

May not be the tires. Easy way to check is swap the fronts and rears. If the problem goes away or moves to the other end of the car it's tires. If it doesn't, look elsewhere.
