Tein vs. K-Sport?
So I wanna do coilovers as soon as possible because I'm completely unhappy with my current setup (neuspeed springs w/ eibach dampers) At first they looked and felt good but after they settled I noticed the back sagged about 2'' lower than the front and every time I hit a bump or pothole in the road the back would rub. I should've just went with coilovers from the start but I was unsure of which ones to go with. I want something that handles good but isn't too stiff. I know alot of members on here use either Tein, K-sport, or Koni systems, so if you could share some info on which would be best I would really appreciate it.
Thanks~
Thanks~

F2 coilovers are the same as K-Sports.
I've got K-sports on mine, and I love them. They are not for the faint of heart though. Anytime you hit a bump at speed you feel like Bruce Lee was reincarnated and punched you in the kidneys, and the dash sounds like it's about to shatter into a million pieces.

tein if you are looking for a near stock ride (as close as you can get with coilovers)
if you want to be absolutely slammed and don't mind the rough ride, then go with one of the others. the difference is the adjustable body which allows you to leave the coil tight and also shorten the overall length of the shock. lowering the car.
and i don't think H&R makes coilovers, only springs. koni is also a spring/shock (strut) application.

Cool I was just wondering about this the other day. I plan to go with the tien super streets with pillow mount. But is there a combination of springs and shocks that will keep a smoother ride quality? Coils are damn expensive.

H&R doesn't make coilover applications for us, only springs. In terms of quality Tein is not sub par but if you want a good set of quality coilovers your gonna be paying a pretty penny. If you mean they are sub par in comparison to a set of ZEALS then yeah I would agree, but Teins aren't sub par coilovers for what they are

Comparing teins and ksports are like comparing apples and oranges. ksports are extremely stiff with spring rates of 12/7 and teins at 7/4 but keep in mind both companies will allow you to order spring rates of your choice. If you plan on slamming the car you would want to go with stiffer rates to prevent rubbing and bottoming out everywhere. Yeah coilovers are expensive but you gotta pay to play my man. Dampening will also play a role in the stiffness and ride of whatever you may chose as well. I plan on dumping the car so I am going the Ksport route for now and I'll probably set dampening midway between the softest and stiffest setting.
