Tein SS question...help!

hey guys, i just installed my teins a week ago which i bought used off the board. I love them but i have one question...I have about a 2.5 drop all around, and my dampers are set to 6 clicks in the front, 7 clicks in the back from the stiffest setting. Now, when I make a hard right turn, I can hear my bumper scrape the floor on the driver side...ne1 else get this? Is this because of the softness of the springs? Will it help if i set it stiffer or if i get sways? I dont like hearing my bumper scrape =/ Thanks guys...

uhhhh when i had my Zeal function b6 installed at a drop of 2.5 my bumper wasn't scraping on hard turns. are you sure it's ur bumper scraping on the ground? or is it rubbing on the tires?

it could be because the spring rate isn't stiff enough. Other members on the board have had problems with the TEIN SS bottoming out on them because hte kit was actually made for the accord v6, however the accord weights about 300lbs less in the front than the CL, so the extra weight causes problems on the suspension and some members have requested higher spring rates from TEIN for their setup's

if you have aftermarket rims it could be the rim size you chose doesn't match, or you may need to lower ur drop to 2.2 or more to keep it from scraping or rubbing, whichever it is.

now that i think about it...it is probably the fender hitting the tire, the upgraded springs from tein should solve this? would sways help this at all by reducing body roll? I'm not too sure on these things >< thanks guys

upgraded springs may help. but the size of your rims and tires is a huge factor on this really.

If the offset on your rims isn't correct, nearly anything you do won't help, unless you raise your car up to a point where it won't rub.

sways, strut bars probably would help, but springs and shocks is where you should look into first

what is the offset of your rims, if any, the width of the rim and tire?
