Just thought I'd share with everything. I contacted TEIN to ask them if the TEIN SS-P is available for the CL-S and they said it is. So now you can get the EDFC, with the SS-P and have it fit WITHOUT having to modify your hood like it was with the original SS version of the TEIN Kit.

Here is the email they sent to me:

maybe, i'd contact them to ask them if you can purchase the pillowball upper mounts seperately and if they will fit with the exisiting SS kit.

I just emailed TEIN again asking them if the SS kit will work with the new pillowball upper mounts and if they do, if they can be purchased separetly.

Unfortunately we do not make separate Pillowball upper Mounts for the CL. Also, the Type SS is not EDFC compatible just the Type SS-P is. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

so it looks like you have to buy the new SS-P kit in order to utilize the EDFC (from what they say)

It's on the TEIN website. TEIN SS-P Part # DSH94-2USS1: $1300 + EDFC Part # EDK01-12120: $380 = $1680 total + tx

Electronic Damping Force Controller

Allows you to control how "stiff" the ride is directly from the cockpit but adjusting it from an electronic control unit. This way you don't have to adjust it mechanically.

I already have the SS I don't really think it would be economical for me to sell it and just purchase the new kit for the pillow mounts.
