Tein Luxury H.Tech Springs *Pictures
Well, I got Tokico ILLumina shox and Tein Luxury H.Techs installed, courtesy of Speedlab. Here are some pix, forgot to take the 'before' pictures. Wasn't looking for the slammed look and throwing off my cambers. I just wanted something that would take away teh 4x4 look and still make the 19z look nice

If at all possible, could you measure the distance between the tire and the wheel well? (Vertically)
With my Comptechs I have 1-1/4" up for the front and 1-1/2" in the rear.
Maybe it's my eyes but your rear seems lower than the front.

I think that's the way they were designed. If you go on Tein's website, one you can tell the pics of the rear slants.... secondly the actual drop measurements they provide show that the rear is dropped more than the front. I dont know why autocarparts and other vendors are listing the tein drop to be 1.5 fr and 1.0 rear.?? More then likely I will have the Tanabe Sustec springs on by next month. This i believe is the closest in reality to the 1.5 fr and 1.0 rear drop most people are seeking.

Your eyes are right. The rear is a little bit lower than the front. I will measure it once I find a ruler but off hand its two fingers in the front finger and half in the back. When you look at the wheel well's closely and compare you can tell. But standing back, it looks dead even. It plays with your eyes.
When you look from the side, it looks dead even, with perhaps the front maybe even being a bit lower
But then if you get close up and compare wheel wells, you can tell the back is lower than the front.
To be honest, I cant tell the back is lower in the front and I kind of like it that way because I dont hit curbstoppers or scrap in the front, but it still takes 4x4 factor out of the car. The Tokicos and Tein H Techs are very comparable to the stock ride. Overall, I am very happy with the drop Just cant wait to get the wheels on now! Damn snow n salt!

I am still too scur to put them on because there is a ton of snow in the forecast and there is mad sand still on the streets. I might get them on next Wednesday, and then I can store if need be. They will be on very soon. Dont worry, I will post pix

The back is not lower. It's the way the front wheel well is cut. Measure the distance to the jack points. They will be equal.
Your car looks just like mine, damn good I must say!

I thought the powder coating was nice, too. But I'm no expert. Just looked like a nice finish. I'm dying to drive my car. It's been in the garage since it first snowed.

I used to have h+r springs with tokico shocks on my cl. Then I got 18 inch rims and had to go with a different suspension setup to reduce rubbing on fender. So I bought teinn ss coilovers. fixed the problem, and after buying them I will never lower a car with anything less. I paid about 300 dollars more for the coilovers but they made a difference in my car worth much more than that. If you are looking to lower your car, check out some coilovers too. If you are looking for maximum performace, they are definately worth the investment. Not to mention you can raise or lower your car depending on your needs.

I didnt with the coilovers for several reasons:
1. Didnt want to bottom out
2. More expensive
3. I would never adjust the hieght once they were on
4. Didnt want to mess with cambers

I hear what you are saying. Hmmmm, I don't think my car bottoms out, it is just a little rougher ride. Here is something to think about, the only reason I have raied or lowered my car was this(and actually i just lowered my car a little bit yesterday): I had 18's, the place I ordered them from said they would fit my car, so I bought them. They rubbed pretty bad though, so I invested in a sway bar first, helped a lot, but they rubbed a lil. So I raised my car an inch or so. I recently switched back to 17's because I got tired of dropping a grand everytime I put tires on my car. In getting smaller rims, I could drop it back down to the height I originally had it at. But hey, if you want hr lowering springs with tokicko shocks I got some I can sell Ya. I ojnly rode on them for about six months, they have just been sitting in my room. I will let them go for pretty cheap if you really want them. let me know

I said a grand roundign up a little, but I went with a really soft rubber, which was expensive. Then when you add mounting, balancing and road hazard it came out to just over nine hundred dollars

I really think it is one of the best drops out there because it actually keeps the drop nice and even. Its still practical and I can make it in and out of VERY steep parking lots, sometimes even clearing curb stoppers if they are low. It has been the best drop for my 19z
Letr me know if you guys have any other questions although it kind of sux cause I dont have internet for a couple more days. I have more pictures too with the 19z on

Bottoming out is just when you're scraping your bumper and stuff from dips and bumps right?
And shookone. More pictures please. Your car has definitely inspired me to buy 19" chrome inspyres. SUCH beautiful wheels.

and bottoming out is when your shox/coilovers totally compress until the point in which they bottom out or run out of compression. The result would be a very harsh and abrupt slam when the car hits a bump. Again, I have only heard this is a problem every now and then with the Tein coilovers.
